Pensacola, FL/Combined SEBS and SWBS Weekend Fly-In

Again, we are partnering with the Southwest Bonanza Society (SWBS) for a three-night trip to Pensacola, Florida. A highlight of the trip will be visiting the National Naval Aviation Museum.  For this trip, we've added some participation events for those wishing a little competitive fun.   Dates are October 1st through the 4th, 2026.  A few remaining details are close to being finalized; an email announcement will be sent when registration is open.

We will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Pensacola a short distance from the Historic section which has a number of museums, shops and restaurants.  Reservation information will be available when registration opens.

The weekend will include a combination of planned events/meals and some 'on your own' time.  Keep the weekend open and watch your email in the coming weeks for registration availability.

Preliminary Agenda

• Thursday, Oct 1st:  

  • Arrivals and dinner at Shaggy's in Pensacola Beach.

  Friday, Oct 2nd:

  • National Naval Aviation Museum | Official Website @ 09:00 which means arriving at the base gate around 08:45. No charge for museum entrance and there is a café on site (11:00-14:00) for lunch.
  • Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum since we are already on base and basically across the street.  Admission is $10 or $7 for 65 and up, pay on your own.
  • Optional Axe Throwing, reservation for 18:30.  2.5 hours ($40pp +tax, etc., pay individually upon arrival). location has a bar and sandwiches/pizza/apps onsite.  Grizzly Axes Pensacola, Florida 
  • Dinner on your own for those not attending the Axe throwing. 

  Saturday, Oct 3rd:

  • Pensacola Amazing Race and Scavenger Hunt Adventure | Visit Pensacola -- $35pp paid in advance.  We will split up into teams and head out on the approximate 2-hour hunt.    Of course, a bar or 2 stop after or even during the ‘race’.
  • For those not interested in the Scavenger Hunt, plenty of museums, tours, restaurants, etc. near the hotel in the Historic District.
  • Dinner at Slick Lips Seafood and Oyster Bar with everyone paying on their own.
