The Southeastern Bonanza Society is pleased to announce our next Saturday Lunch Fly-In.
We invite you to join us on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Crosswinds Cafe, Hickory NC (KHKY) for lunch with fellow SEBS members and their guests.
Board member John Douglas is the trip Captain for this Fly-In.
Airport: Hickory Regional Airport (KHKY)
FBO: City of Hickory
Parking will be at the only FBO on the field, City of Hickory, located on the north ramp. Tell the tower or ground you would like to taxi to "The FBO" or "North Ramp" and are with the Bonanza fly-in.
Truck supplied fuel will be available at current self-serve pricing and there is no charge for transient parking during the day. Lunch will be served at the Crosswinds Cafe in the main terminal which is a short walk across the street from the FBO.
Plan to arrive any time after 10:00 a.m. with lunch being served at 11:30 a.m. Arrive early or stay late and tour the Hickory Aviation Museum in the same building as the Crosswinds Cafe. The museum is excited to welcome our members and guests any time during their published Saturday hours, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
There is no formal program except to socialize so plan to bring a friend, the event is open to everyone.
Registration:
There is no online fee, but we need everyone to register for planning purposes and choose a lunch option which is to be paid ($12) at the event. Any and all guests need to be entered with their meal choices. There are 3 pre-ordered options which will be ready at 11:30 a.m.; make your own burger, turkey wrap or ham wrap. Each comes with a bag of chips, a cookie and sweetened or unsweetened iced tea for $12. Salads or other options are available off the Crosswinds Cafe menu and can be ordered individually. Note the restaurant has a small kitchen with limited staff which may lead to a long wait.

Cancellation: If you cannot attend after registering, please cancel your registration to keep our head count current and assist with meal planning.
Situated in the North Carolina foothills, Hickory and the surrounding areas have a number of local attractions. Blowing Rock is only a 45-minute drive to the north. Participants may want to consider staying over and visiting some of the local attractions.
